Enrichment of the competencies of the pedagogical specialists from educational institutions of the town of Kardzhali through participation in trainings for work in a multicultural environment

The project forecasts identification of the needs of the partner schools from the project for improving the work in a multicultural environment (ME), preparation of a needs analysis and a training plan.Based on the analysis, trainings for pedagogues to work in a multicultural educational environment will be organized and conducted. The TG is teachers, principals and educational mediators from PGI Aleko Konstantinov, EG Hristo Botev and PS St. St. Kiril i Metodii. The project aims to enrich the professional competencies of teachers and principals with new knowledge and skills for managing the ME, so as to create optimal conditions for socialization and acquisition of knowledge for each student. In support of this goal,educational mediators will expand their knowledge of intercultural communication,which will help them improve the relationship between the school and the family of students from different ethnicities. The need for this specific new knowledge has become particularly strong in the context of pandemic and social isolation,when educators must be able to find a successful approach to children of different ethnicities,even outside of the usual learning environment. The project will meet the needs of the target group to gain knowledge of modern approaches and methods of working in a ME.The acquired competencies will help teachers to build an environment of tolerance in schools and ensure the right of equal access to education for all students. Within the project frame 138 people will undergo specialized training,giving them new knowledge, methods and approaches for multicultural communication and effective management of the ME.
