TOMORROW - School of Tolerance and Equality for All Ethnic Groups

The TOMORROW project is aimed at solving some of the most pressing issues facing the pre-school and school education in Bulgaria - the need for accessible quality education and keeping the children, pupils and students from ethnic minorities in the educational system. The project aims at supporting this process through improving the professional competences of teachers, head-masters and other pedagogical specialists for working in multicultural environment in 19 schools and kindergartens on the territory of Stara Zagora and Sliven Regions. This objective will be achieved through provision for 224 pedagogical specialists and 12 educational mediators of training for working in multicultural environment on 7 different topics. For each of them educational credits will be awarded. The training will be carried out on the basis of a thorough analysis, evaluation of the environment and requirements in each educational institution included in the project. In addition 129 pedagogical specialists will acquire professional-qualification degree for work in a multicultural environment. For 95 of them who are to acquire fourth and fifth degrees dedicated preparatory courses will be carried out. The project combines the efforts of all stakeholders - schools, kindergartens, an academic institution and the structures of the civil society in the face of "World Without Borders" Non-profit Association. This integrated approach will allow the target groups to receive quality training for work in multicultural environment which is also aligned with the requirements of the children and students. The need for quality education is the decisive factor when selecting the topics for training and consequently during the implementation of project activities. The successful implementation of the project will guarantee that children and student from the marginalized communities in 5 municipalities will have the opportunity for successful and sustainable educational integration and higher results.
