United for the Success of Every Student: increasing the capacity of pedagogical specialists in multicultural environment

The project will be implemented by Amalipe Center in partnership with VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ”and 17 schools with a predominant number of students whose mother tongue is not Bulgarian for a period of 34 months. It is aimed at 510 pedagogical specialists and 20 educational mediators from primary, united, secondary and vocational high schools in different areas of the country. The main goal is to increase the professional competencies of pedagogical specialists to work in a multicultural environment for the implementation of ICE in order to prevent dropout, the formation of tolerance among all students and preserve the cultural identity of students from ethnic minorities. Activities include: Development and updating of strategic documents (A1); Conducting short-term trainings for pedagogical specialists from schools for work in a multicultural environment. Short-term trainings ending with the award of qualification credits (A2); Conducting short-term trainings for pedagogical specialists and educational mediators from schools for work in a multicultural environment without awarding qualification credits (A3) and Support of pedagogical specialists for acquiring PKS for work in a multicultural environment (A4). A model for complex support of pedagogical specialists will be tested, and teachers-mentors will be trained, who will go through a cycle of thematic modules for trainers. The trained teachers-mentors will receive preparation for conducting the in-school qualification and other trainings. VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ”through the Department for Continuing Education and Qualification of Pedagogical Specialists is a partner in the implementation of D4 by: conducting preparatory courses for acquiring V and IV PKS for work in a multicultural environment / 270 pedagogues / and acquiring all other PKS for educators involved in the project. / 325 teachers /
