MOTIVATION AND MEDIATION IN DIVERSITY - PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALISTS IN INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE

The main goal of the project "MOTIVATION AND MEDIATION IN DIVERSITY - PEDAGOGICAL SPECIALISTS IN INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE" is to increase the professional competencies of teachers, principals and other pedagogical specialists from five partner schools from the North-West region for working in a multicultural environment and for teaching knowledge and developing skills in students to perceive ethno cultural differences. Specific objectives: 1. Development of tolerance to the cultural and ethnic diversity and creation of an appropriate socio-psychological climate in the school by applying strategies for qualification of teachers and administrative staff in the field of education for work in a multiethnic environment. 2. Improving the qualification of pedagogical specialists and the knowledge of educational mediators to work in a multicultural environment with a view to equal participation of all students in the educational system, increasing the motivation for learning and supporting the cultural identity of students. As a result: the needs will be identified and strategies will be developed for the partners to improve the work in a multiethnic environment; will increase the qualification and skills of pedagogical specialists and educational mediators, as active participants in the multicultural dialogue and a leading force in creating an appropriate socio-psychological climate in the school through 2 external trainings, which end with the award of 2 qualification credits and 4 trainings place in schools without credit. The target group of the project are 175 people, including: 170 teachers, principals and other pedagogical specialists from five partner schools from the North-West region and 5 educational mediators. The duration of the project is 35 months.
