Increasing the competencies of pedagogical specialists for work in a multicultural educational environment

The project aims to demonstrate the professional skills of teachers, principals and pedagogical friends to work in a multicultural environment and to teach knowledge and develop the skills of children and students to perceive ethnocultural differences. Its specifics are: development and use of strategies, programs and plans for qualification of pedagogical specialists for work in a multicultural environment in ten educational institutions (kindergartens and schools) from Burgas district; recommend to the qualification of pedagogical specialists and educational mediators for work in a multicultural environment, in view of the search for employees for equal participation of students and the search for motivation for students, which should be identified in the cultural identity of people and students; creating a suitable socio-pedagogical climate in the respective school or kindergarten. Implementation of the objectives will be implemented main activities: development of strategies, plans, programs, analyzes and recommendations for work in a multicultural environment in partner educational institutions; carry out three-day short-term trainings for pedagogical specialists and educational mediators, without remaining on a qualification credit and short-term trainings for pedagogical specialists, including 2 or 3 qualification credits. The target group of the project are: 245 teachers, principals of schools and kindergartens, other pedagogical specialists, and 5 educational mediators from partner schools and kindergartens. Design is used by Astika Foundation in partnership with: Magic KG-Karnobat,Yana Laskova KG-Karnobat; Hristo Botev Primary School(PS)-Troyanovo; PS Svetlina-Topolitsa, Hristo Botev Secondary School(SS)-Sungurlare; Vocational High School of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics-Burgas, Hristo Botev SS-Kameno, Hristo Botev PS-Lozarevo, St.St.Cyril and Methodius PS-Manolich, Otets Paisii PS-Saedinenie. The project implementation period is 30 months.
