Profesionalna gimnazia po turizam is aware of the importance of social inclusion among every part of Bulgarian society and has been supporting people from vulnerable groups for over 10 years by giving them the opportunity to continue their education and develop themselves. The Roma community in the municipality of Samokov is large. The number of early school leavers is considerable. With this project proposal we have focused our efforts on increasing the participation in various forms of lifelong learning of adults from vulnerable groups living in the territory of Samokov Municipality to compensate for the effect of early school leaving. We will work in the field of education with the illiterate to master basic skills in reading, mathematics, science, basic digital and communication skills and thus not be a risk group in the labor market. People from risk groups will be provided with access to adult literacy courses and an appropriate environment to compensate for literacy problems, as well as courses for acquiring competencies from the junior high school stage in grades 5, 6 and 7. By successfully completing the courses and obtaining a degree from education, they will have the opportunity for better realisation on the labor market of the participants in such forms. They will improve their social and communication skills. They will improve the acquisition of new knowledge, which will lead to an increase in their quality of life. The participation of adults in literacy courses, as well as in courses for learning content from junior high school classes and obtaining documents for acquired competencies within the basic educational degree after successfully passing the necessary exams, will enable them to continue their education, to enter the labor market or to continue their training for acquiring a degree of professional qualification. We will also give them the opportunity to continue their education by enrolling in the evening classes run by the school.
