Rainbow kids

The Rainbow Kids project is aimed at improving the scope and quality of educational services for children from marginalized groups in the town of Lukovit and the villages of Dermantsi and Todorichene. The project offers a variety of activities to support the educational integration of children from marginalized communities in Lukovit municipality. Experts in early childhood development and preschool educators will develop programs for regular activities "Song for you", "The Little Environmentalist" and "Sunny Athletes", aimed respectively at music, environmental protection and sports. The aim is to attract and keep the interest of children on topics that are important for all the areas of early development through attractive, interactive methods. 110 children aged 3-6 will benefit from the project activities. Parents will be also involved in the activities (once a month for each of the three activities), with the aim of strengthening the child-parent relationship, attracting parents as active participants in the educational process and improving their parental capacity. Around 50 parents will take part in these activities. The sessions will be implemented in a period of 2 years in 12 groups, 2 or 3 times per week, including the summer period. Children from non-marginalized communities will also be invited to some of the activities in order to encourage interaction and cooperative performances. The project results will be disseminated among the partnership networks in order to reach a greater impact and multiplication of project activities. The project contributes to the social inclusion of children from marginalized communities by improving their access to quality education.
