Improving access to employment and training of young people in Varna

The lack of education and training or inappropriate form of education and training are key factors that mainly determine the group of non-working and inactive young people. The professional choice of young people is a topical issue due to lack of information about professional fields, as well as the motivation of the young people for growth in the professional hierarchy in present-day society, the demand of the labor market. The project proposal is a combination of targeted activities to inactive people in order to be included again in employment or returned to the education system. This will be achieved by integrating various activities for preparing the individual profile of each participant to determine his needs, implementing motivational training, directing the young people to register and use the services of the labor offices, providing professional training and subsequent employment. Fundamental to the future success of the participants are motivational and professional training. Providing motivational training will strengthen participants’ confidence in their own abilities and their ambition to compete in the labor market. The implementation of the professional trainings for subsequent employment of inactive people will improve their knowledge and skills, which in turn will help them to be more competitive in the labor market, to increase their self-confidence, and consequently, their income and quality of life will improve. As a result a higher motivation of young people for work will be achieved, as well as higher sustainable employment, shorter periods of unemployment, and increased share of skilled workforce.
