Activation and integration of young people, under the age of 29 years, into employment living in North-western Bulgaria.

The project proposal generates ideas and mechanisms for activating and integrating young people under the age of 29 into employment who are not registered as students nor employed (e.g. registered as unemployed in the Public Employment Office). The project is designed towards identifying and motivating the “inactive” part of youth population, resulting in sustainable employment and training. The project considers the possibility to provide youngsters vocational training as well as opportunity for starting a new job. The region where the project will be implemented is characterized by low level of economically active population and high unemployment. An innovative model for identifying “inactive” young people (representing the target group), which is a crucial priority set by the labor market, will be implemented in the project. The project itself aims at forming and developing a local network that will identify, reach, inform, help, and monitor inactive young people. Furthermore, it will carry out a screening approach and create a long list of identified youngsters. A part from those identified people will be given the opportunity to be vocationally trained and employed for 6 months. While carrying out the tasks of the project participants falling within risk groups of the labor market will be given equal rights to participate and all matters of discrimination towards diverse groups of people will be prevented in order to increase the level of employment and fight poverty. The candidate and his partners will contribute, via the project, for the implementation of the objectives set out by the European Union in the sphere of Employment to overcome social exclusion and decrease poverty by securing 34 new jobs for people within one of the highest risk specific categories on the market.
