The project proposal is targeted at activation and integration in the labour market through employment of economically inactive young Roma up to 29 years of age from Haskovo municipality. In order to counteract the increase in youth unemployment in the region and tackle the established social distances of Roma youth there will be implemented an integrated package of services for identification of inactive Roma (16 to 29 years of age, incl.), vocational training and provision of employment. The activities included in the operation will ensure motivation and active involvement in the labor market of inactive young Roma people. The project will diminish social distance and will give a chance for a successful professional realization of unemployed Roma youth in the municipality of Haskovo. Project implementation will contribute to realization of key measures and actions for improvement of the knowledge and skills of Roma youth and their sustainable integration and social inclusion through activation and employment. The project will build upon previously implemented measures for combating youth unemployment, and will contribute to the improvement of policies aimed at integrating young Roma. Stimulation of youth employment will reduce the social burden of the Roma community on the society and it will contribute to overcoming the social crisis among young people in the region. The results of the project will increase the social capital in the municipality of Haskovo and improve effective channels of partnership and interaction between civil society and business in solving important social problems such as youth unemployment and integration of Roma communities.
