"Active involvement and providing sustainable employment for young people in the municipality of Rodopi"

The goal of the presented project is to identify, integrate, and actively involve young people between 18 -29 years old in different forms of employment. In Rhodopi Municipality during the last years is registered severe tendency of growing number of unemployed youngsters, that also are not currently being educated. Completing this project and the corresponding planned activities will perform some of the major principles and policies of the HR DOP, and more specifically - actively involving young people in the process, fighting their social isolation and gaining sustainable integration to the labor market. One of the main issues to be addressed in the current draft project is focusing on youth into the smaller settlements within Rhodopi Municipality, where access to information and employment opportunities is limited. Our goal is to include young people between 18-29 years old into the employment process by presenting informational campaigns in these settlements. Except youth the project will involve local community leaders, who can influence the target group. The project will also provide meetings with parents of the target group and group consultations with the youngsters. The goal of these activities is not just improving the motivation for job searching and active behavior, but also increasing the confidence of the target group and gaining awareness of the benefits of daily engagement and being employed. The process of active interaction should be two-sided and addressed to understanding the needs of youth, as well as reaching common ground in finding occupation, and also gaining effective communication with the target group. The project will involve over young people, their parents, representatives of local ethnic communities, volunteers and NGOs, that actively work with the Municipality. After completing the trainings, the youngsters will be appointed to position in Rhodopi Municipality.
