Active Services for Young People in the Labor Market

The Applicant will provide an integrated package of active services in the labor market aimed at economically inactive young people from segregated Roma and Turkish community in the city of Kardzhali. The Applicant proposes to implement the following key project activities in order to counteract effectively the high level of youth unemployment in the city of Kardzhali: services for the identification, activation, professional qualification trainings and provision of employment. Key measures and activities included in the project proposal will contribute to improvement of professional knowledge and skills of identified young people and their sustainable integration and social inclusion through activation and employment. Implementation of the project will give a chance for a successful professional realization and social integration of inactive youth from the segregated Roma and Turkish communities in the city of Kardzhali. Motivation and activation of the labor market of young people from the target group of the project will contribute to the growth of the local economy and the social burden on society will be reduced. The integrated package of active services on the labor market will stimulate employment of economically inactive young people and will build upon previously implemented measures for combating youth unemployment. Providing employment for identified young people will contribute to reduction of the consequences of the social crisis among young people from segregated Roma and Turkish community and increasing the social capital in the city of Kardzhali. The main results of the project are targeted at satisfying the needs of the identified young people through effective partnership and interaction of non-governmental organizations and business in addressing key societal issues.
