"Activating young people at-risk living on the territory of Burgas Municipality towards education and employment"

The current project is intended for young people between 15-29 years of age who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs) during the past 4 months, as well as, not having a registration in the Labour Office for the past 12 months. These are young people under the threat of social exclusion and marginalization because of early education and training leaving, lack of motivation due to religious and ethnic issues, low social status origin, living in segregated areas of Burgas Municipality, etc. The project envisages identification of 102 young people from the already mentioned risk groups, establishing feedback with them and covering 65 of the youths in professional education in preliminary defined subjects and professions. After the successful pass of the education, the young people (65 youths ) would be able to get a subsidized employment by the partners within the project for a period of 6 months. At end of the period, the employer have the right to prolong the term of the working contract according to its own judgement on the basis of the demonstrated qualities and professional results of the hired employees. Another measure, stipulated in the current project is the rest 37 of the total identified persons to be supported towards successful professional realization as 16 of them will be assisted to enroll in suitable educational institution to continue their education and obtain a degree. Another 21 young individuals will be encouraged to active job offers searching and registration in the Labour Office. Through the implementation of the project, the representatives of the NEETs group will receive the necessary education, proper employment opportunities and the chance to gather working experience which form the foundation of the successful long-term professional realization on the labour market and full participation in the social life.
