"Let us learn, let us get involved! Motivation, training and inclusion of inactive youth on the labour market “

The financial and economic crisis in the beginning of 21th century caused the emergence of some serious processes in different spheres and undoubtedly had negative consequences on the fortune and life perspectives of a lot of people. The consequences of the changes affected mostly the young people, who are currently facing new challenges, including the risk of dropping out of school, long-term unemployment, marginalization and social exclusion. The main reasons for the inactive attitude of youth are: lack of free workplaces, suitable for the educational and qualification level of the discouraged persons, lack of qualification, skills or professional expertise, bad health condition or disability, personal or family issues, etc. The discouraged persons are part of the population, standing out of the work force, but under the conditions of economic growth and improved situation on the labour market they can again start searching actively work or start their own businesses. The active attitude of these people on the labour market depends on a complex of factors - the economic situation, the offering of free workplaces, the insurance and tax burden, the adequate activation policy, etc. The project is aimed at activation and inclusion of young people from 15 years old to 29 years old, incl. on the labour market, who are not included neither in any educational or training system, nor are employed, including are not registered in the Labour Bureau in Silistra. In order to achieve this objective a number of activities for identification of inactive young people are foreseen, such as inclusion in motivation trainings and trainings for obtaining a professional qualification in different professions and specialties. After enhancing their knowledge and skills the trainees will be employed for 6 months in organizations, operating on the territory of Silistra Municipality, incl. the Municipal Administration and the company "Stroyproject" Ltd.
