“Support for professional qualification and employment of young people from Antonovo Municipality”

Project “Support for professional qualification and employment of young people from Antonovo Municipality” will be implemented on the territory of Antonovo Municipality. The overall project objective is to contribute to activating and integrating in employment of young people from the municipality aged below 29 years who are neither in education or training nor in employment and are not registered as unemployed at the Labour Bureau. The project will start with the identification of 35 people from the target group. The identified young people will be included in a 5-day motivational training which will help them choose from the activation options offered by the project: to return to the educational system, to register at the Labour Bureau, to participate in employment-related trainings and consequently to become employed. Young people will be able to take one of two professional qualification courses: Security Guard or Office Secretary. Those who will be trained for the profession of Office Secretary will also pass 45 hours of training in key competence ‘Digital competence’ in order to improve their skills for using Word, Excel and internet which are necessary for the proper performance of their job. During the trainings young people will receive scholarships for each attended day. At the end of the professional training, the trainees will sit for an examination and those who have passed it will receive a certificate of professional training. Young people who have successfully completed their professional training will be employed for 6 months in their newly acquired professional qualification. As a result of the planned project activities at least 28 young people will acquire professional qualification and work experience which will increase significantly their chances of professional realisation after the project end. Another key project result is young people’s enhanced motivation to be active participants in the labour market.
