Study and Work – Be Active!

The main objectives of the project proposal hereby are the inactive young people in the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad, as a main potential for increasing the qualified labour supply. The activation of the school leavers and inactive young people is an important priority of the labour market policy. To achieve effective actions by activating and including them back into the education system an individual approach and specific actions are required. The dynamically changing social processes and the enhanced requirements to our country in terms of youth employment and integration of minority groups are a proof that adequate measures and new approaches in working with them need to be provided. The project proposal will provide an opportunity for acquiring competences and skills through complex training, which will accelerate the transition from unemployment to employment of the young people with low motivation for work and education. Municipality of Dimitrovgrad considers that the implementation of the planned project activities will provide an access for the young people to the labour market through an improved qualification and their needs will be adapted through the complex of services and training. During the performance of the specific activities, the unemployed young people will be informed, motivated, guided and will receive consultancy in order to be actively included in the labour market. Raised levels of skills and knowledge acquired during the training will contribute to the change of their social status and to the successful realization on the labour market. The expected results are related to more effective prevention and reduction of youth unemployment. The access to employment will be improved and qualified jobs for young people from the Municipality of Dimitrovgrad will be provided, as well as their inclusion in the socio - economic life of the community.
