"To be active - new opportunities for youth from Kardzhali municipality"

The project is focused to the need of activating the youth between 15 and 29 years old, which remained out of the educational, social and labor systems. The activation is based on the studied reasons for isolation, therefore appropriate channels for their identification are selected e.g. through local mayors, social and health mediators, directors of schools and a register of drop-out school children, local NGO, ASA, EA. The process of identification includes individual meetings with the youth from the target group, at which the reasons for their isolation will be discussed. In addition, psychological support will be offered to the people, in case of necessity. The youth will be included in motivation training, aiming at change of their self-assessment about their opportunities for professional development and preparation for the further job searching and job applying. The envisaged vocational trainings in “Planting and floriculture” and “Main and finishing works” will give new perspective to the youth for finding a better job, as they will be included in the temporary employment by Kardzhali municipality for a 6-months period. The chosen instruments for youth activation through an adequate process of identification, motivation and vocational training, as well as hiring for temporary employment is the main objective of the project , namely a Creation of conditions for activating youth for employment between 15 and 29 years old from Kardzhali. It is foreseen that up to 90 people from the target group will be identified and will be included in motivational training, up to 85 will complete vocational training, 75 will be included in temporary employment at positions corresponding with their professional qualification. The youth which after identification or motivation training will not continue with participation in the rest project activities will be encouraged to get a registration in the labor offices, or to continue with their education.
