New Vision for Employment

The project aims to identify 40 inactive youth and provide professional qualification and 6-month employment to 30 of them. 10 of the total number of participants will be involved in motivational training for active job search. 30 professionally trained youth will acquire qualification in the profession Social Work Assistant and will then be employed in order to assist persons with disabilities. Some of the hired people will also work as “social mediators” in order to support the process of identifying inactive youth. A very characteristic element in this project proposal is that the establishment of a Supported Employment Bureau including project key experts is envisioned. By implementing the means and methods of the most current and leading form of employment support for persons in need in Europe, the Bureau will not only conduct activities of a high social impact and contribute to the promotion and implementation in Bulgarian conditions of new and good practices in this area, but it will also make a difference by including one team in a comprehensive cycle of support - from the identification of young people in need to motivating them, providing training, preparing them for employment, providing consultations and trainings in the workplace, insuring employment and establishing working arrangements acceptable to employers and employees in order to achieve sustainability. The project results will be achieved through the following actions: - Identification of inactive youth through a Supported Employment Bureau implementing outreach and information on-line activities; - Provision of motivational trainings for active job search through a Supported Employment Bureau; - Provision of training for acquiring professional qualification in the profession Social Work Assistant; - Provision of employment for a period of 6 months to the youth who have acquired professional qualification.
