Work and qualification at SILPA Ltd

SILPA Ltd was registered on April 2004 with main scope of activity: processing of sheet iron, manufacturing of plastic details and air- conditioning appliances. The company’s plant is located in the industrial zone in the town of Lom and has a total area of 60 000 sq.m. The company manufactures metal and plastic items with the following purpose: - Fan convectors for cooling and heating up as a module which is installed within a central air-conditioning system; - Gas wall boiler boxes for household needs; - Details for the automobile industry – exhaust-pipes and parts for them. The company manufactures also a wide range of plastic products. The production department has at its disposal a workshop for punching and die forging, for injection molding of plastic, for powder painting the products, an assembly line for fan convectors. Since it was established up to the present moment SILPA Ltd has invested considerable funds in order to meet its needs for human resources adequately. For the 10 years existence the workforce of the company has increased more than three times. With the present project the company expects to provide jobs for 20 unemployed/inactive individuals by providing them with training to obtain first qualification degree. After the project is completed the company will provide sustainable jobs for at least 10 newly–employed individuals. The completion of the project will increase the quality of life of 20 people–unemployed individuals of all ages through encouraging their successful inclusion in the labour market. The project is oriented towards increasing their adaptability and skills through ensuring access to training, encouraging learning throughout one’s life and proactive approach for successful inclusion in the labour market. The improvement of the professional and personal characteristics of the unemployed through their inclusion in professional qualification training will considerably increase their competitiveness on the labour market.
