Unemployed in Action – integration of unemployed persons into the labour market by providing employment and improving their qualification

Within the Region of Gabrovo the most vulnerable unemployed persons are those of very low level of education and qualification, as well as those over 50. They do not have an easy access to the labour market since they are inadequate to today’s job requirements. On one hand, this results in non-competitiveness, long-term unemployment and lack of mobility and on the other hand, low self-motivation and self-esteem. To fulfill the national goals in relation to Europe 2020 Strategy those unemployed should be integrated on the labour market by providing suitable workplaces and training. Therefore the target group comprises 6 unemployed (3 female and 3 male), two thirds of whom are of very low educational level, 80% are long-term unemployed, a third are unemployed with impairments, and one is unemployed over 54. The general aim of the project proposal is to establish sustainable workplaces for unemployed by providing employment and improving their qualification. It will be achieved by the specific objectives: •To open 6 workplaces for the position of “Data Processing Specialist” and to hire 6 unemployed persons. •To provide vocational training to the unemployed in order for them to acquire first qualification degree in the profession of “Computer Operator”. •To provide training to the unemployed in Digital Competence. The target group will have the following benefits: •Better access to long-term employment •Better qualification meeting today’s job requirements •Higher motivation, self-esteem and professional self-confidence •Higher competitiveness and mobility on the labour market •More effective performance at the workplace •Better social and economic status. The above objectives will be achieved by the activities: opening, equipping and furnishing 6 workplaces, recruiting and hiring 6 unemployed, training in the profession of “Computer Operator” and Digital Competence, public awareness and dissemination, project organization and management.
