CREATING SUSTAINABLE JOBS IN "GREEN TAXI" LTD FOR UNEMPLOYED AND INACTIVE PERSONS

The candidate for the current project proposal is Green Taxi Ltd (abbreviated GT). The company was created in the end of 2011. The company's main activity is providing taxi services in the city of Sofia by using eco-friendly cars, including full hybrid cars (powered either entirely by the electric engine, entirely by the internal combustion engine, or simultaneously by both) as well as cars powered entirely by an electric engine. By means of this approach, GT implements the idea of sustainable and "green" business and lays the foundations for the development of an eco-friendly and sustainable city transport in the capital, made easily available to the public. The project proposal envisages creating 30 sustainable jobs for unemployed or inactive persons, thus aiming to actively influence the labour market and diminish unemployment in the sensitive sections of the population. GT plans to provide employment for unemployed and inactive persons belonging to two of the most high-risk groups on the labout market, namely, unemployed young people up to the age of 29 and unemployed persons over the age of 54. Thus, an appropriate manner will be provided to meet the challenges to the development of Green Taxi, as well as the company's need for expansion in response to the increasing demand for "green" taxi services, especially in the large capital city. The main activities included in the current project proposal refer to: - Hiring unemployed and/or inactive persons for a period of 12 months, as well as creating 30 sustainable jobs (17 job openings for taxi drivers, 6 - for dispatchers, 4 - for shift managers, 1 - for an administrative associate, and 2 - for accountants) with a commitment to preserving at least half of the jobs mentioned for another 12 months; - Purchasing equipment related to the newly created jobs - 2 hybrid cars for providing taxi transportation; - Activities for ensuring information and publicity; - Organization and management of the project.
