Creating conditions for sustainable employment - new workplaces at "MIZIA - 96" AD

The company MIZIA-96 AD is a leading producer of men’s clothing in Bulgaria. The company operates in the town of Pleven and was founded in 1950. The company’s production facilities are located on an area of over 3000 square meters, and the staff is over 1030 people. This project proposal includes a set of activities aimed at creating employment for unemployed persons, including those from high-risk groups. The project aims to contribute to their sustainable integration in the labour market. In particular, the project implementation will result in: First–selection and employment of 20 unemployed people, 50% of whom are from the specific categories, at newly opened positions in the Clothing Production sector for a period of up to 12 months. Second–the project’s target group includes:20 unemployed people /two unemployed young people aged up to 29 years, 8 unemployed people with low education, and 10 unemployed people aged between 30 and 54 years/. It is planned to open 20 new places, related to the provision of the necessary staff to perform the production activities and increase the company’s production volumes. As part of the project implementation, it is planned to purchase the equipment needed to create the new working places for the unemployed, who will be employed at the position of “Machine operators, sewing”. MIZIA-96 AD will keep 10 of the new positions (50%) for a period of 12 months after the project is completed. Expected results: the successful implementation of the project activities will contribute to solving the problems of the representatives of the target groups by providing employment for these people, a chance for labour realization and preventing the risk of social exclusion. The improved human and technical resources of the company will contribute for improving the company’s productivity and competitiveness and will enhance its capacity to create and keep new working places for representatives of vulnerable groups also in the future.
