Sustainable employment for unemployed and inactive persons in "Kaloyan VT" OOD (Hiring of unemployed and inactive persons in "Kaloyan VT" OOD)

"Kaloyan VT" OOD was founded in 2007 in Veliko Tarnovo with main activity in the hotel and restaurant business. In the period 2008 -2011 the company successively put into operation two own outlets, namely hotel "Kaloyanov fortress" in Arbanassi and restaurant "Asenevtsi" in the city of Veliko Tarnovo, and currently employs about 45 employees. Following a strategy to diversify its activities, "Kaloyan VT" OOD plans from 2016 to expand its activity into the business of landscaping (planting, growing and maintenance of parks, gardens and other greenspaces, incl. protective afforestation and landscaping). The company sees significant prospects in this sphere of activity with regard to the existing and anticipated future significant public investment in this area funded under EU programs. "Kaloyan VT" OOD is planning the implementation of this project namely in connection with the projected expansion in the field of landscaping. The project includes the following activities: 1. Employment of 25 unemployed and / or inactive persons for a period of 12 months (on positions: office manager - 1 p., landscaping workers - 22 p. and drivers of light freight vehicle - 2 e.). 2. Purchase of a light freight vehicle, inventory, clothing and personal protection means, related to and necessary for the creation of new jobs. 3. Organization and management of the project. 4. Publicity about the project. The company envisages that a minimum of 50% of newly employed under the project (or 13 people) at the date of inclusion in project activities will belong to the specific category of unemployed persons, namely unemployed with low level of education (less than high school). After completion of all project activities "Kaloyan VT" Ltd. will preserve for a minimum of 12 months at least 13 of the new jobs created under the project, which will ensure sustainable employment of persons from the target group according to the requirements of the grant procedure.
