Increasing the effectiveness of the implemented employment policy

The implementation of the operation envisages elaboration of updated medium-turn and long-term forecasts for the labour market development and assessments of the net effect of the active labour market policy funded by the state budget which are necessary for enhancing the efficiency of the employment policy. Within the project it is planned annually updating of the forecasts for the labour market development and their public announcement among the stakeholders. The forecasts will be used to improve the planning of the education system and the provision of vocational training as well as in the developing of sectoral policies. Two reports will be prepared and distributed with forecasts for the labour market development and the future labour demand and supply in Bulgaria. In addition, two reports are planned to be prepared within the project containing results from the carried out assessments of the net effect of the active labour market policy. The aim is to contribute to better targeting and improved efficiency of the employment policy using the results of the two assessments. All reports containing developed forecasts and assessments will be publicly announced, discussed and presented to the stakeholders. It is planned to discuss opportunities to improve the forecasting and the use of the forecasts and assessments for the planning of the policies in different areas during the meetings with experts from the key ministries and institutions. All results of the developed forecasts and assessments will be available on the Internet through a web page that will provide interactive opportunities for presenting the results of the forecasts and assessments to the users. Under the project trainings on the use of the forecasts and assessments for the development of policies will be provided. The implementation of the project will improve the process to plan the employment policy using the elaborated forecasts and the results of the assessments of the net effect.
