Improving the quality of the work positions in “Bars”AD, Shumen by providing good and safe working conditions

The current project proposal is aimed at improving the working environment in “Bars”AD, Shumen by providing good and safe working conditions, improving the quality of the work positions and increasing the productivity. “Bars” AD, Shumen was founded in 2007. The main activities of the company are construction of new pavements and road facilities; repair, reconstruction and rehabilitation of road surfaces and all elements of road infrastructure; production of asphalt mixtures; winter maintenance of the road network; construction of water mains , sewers, pipelines and irrigation facilities; development of settlements; construction and repair of residential and commercial buildings. The company employs 100 people, divided into administrative and production sector. 53 of them are people over 54 years old, 5 of them are people with disabilities. The company has its own base, incl. administrative building, asphalt, point for technical inspection. The company is BS OHSAS 18001:2007, EN ISO 14001:2004 and EN ISO 9001:2008 certified. To achieve the purposes, the following project activities are required: 1. Forming a project management team; 2. Purchasing devices for collective defense for “Bars” AD’s employees 3. Purchasing PPE and specialized working clothes, providing maximum protection of “Bars” AD’s employees life and health 4. Providing good conditions for work and rest for the people, who work on constructions sites by purchasing wagons for rest 5. Providing project information and publicity
