Improving of safety and health of workers at Inter Engineering - 10 Ltd.

The project proposal is aimed at improving the working conditions through additional measures for improvement of the working environment, protection of employees‘ health of and extension of working life of employees over 54 years of age, as well as improvement of the labor efficiency and a focus on green jobs through the following activities: 1. Development, adaptation and implementation of a human resources management and development system. 2. Improvement of the working conditions and safety by: 2.1. Provision of means for collective protection in accordance to the prioritized risks, namely: mobile aspiration systems with self-cleaning filter for intensive welding operations carried out in different workplaces and separating oil-free welding fumes, building an aspiration system to a plasma cutting machine - table, mobile welding screens and repair and restoration of the existing demolished concrete floor in block 3. 2.2. Provision of personal protective equipment with better protection performance that will replace the old one. 2.3. Increase personnel knowledge through interactive training for the specific risks in the workplace regarding the materials, equipment, work processes, typical sources of mental overload, professional stress and mean of coping with them. 4. Improvement of safety and health management processes through the implementation and certification of safety standard OHSAS 18001. 5. Improvement of the social benefits - purchase of new equipment for the dining room. The following measurable results will arise through the implementation of the above-mentioned activities: a new human resources management and development system will be implemented, the risks for employees’ health will be reduced by eliminating harmful factors at the source; the employees who received training provided by their employer, will have improved awareness related to the means of protection and the specific risks to their health.
