Good and safe working conditions in "Khan Omurtag"

"Khan Omurtag" is a leading manufacturer of floor and wall ceramic and porcelain tiles, glazed and unglazed tiles. The management team of the company is convinced that safety and health are a major concern for employers, especially if they want to compete on the European and world market, to apply modern principles of management based on corporate social responsibility. The company operates in full accordance with the provisions of Bulgarian legislation and comply with generally accepted standards of safety and health at work. The project aims to upgrade operations performed so far on providing safe and healthy conditions of work and plans the following measures: 1. Development, adaptation and implementation of systems for human resource development, incl. opportunities for flexible forms of employment 2. Providing transport employees to and from work 3. Providing a safe and healthy working conditions, improve work and health status of employees 4. Providing social benefits for workers - place for eating/ Workers restaurant The target group of the project proposal involves all 555 employees employed in the "Khan Omurtag", divided into three main categories: administration, production and support activities. This project will complement activities carried out to date and will provide an opportunity to reach the maximum level of safety would help prevent accidents, reduce the cost of absenteeism from work and treatment of staff and last but not least will build on the efforts of management in the direction of providing a safe and healthy working conditions for workers and the promotion of the seriousness and importance of this kind of activities.
