Upgreading the safety working conditions in "Thread-cutting tools Gabrovo" Ltd.

"Thread-cutting tools Gabrovo" Ltd. is a company, which main activity is production of tools for machining holes and chamfers, cutting internal and external threading, milling, gear-cutting and special tools made of high speed steel. The company is a large enterprise and is one of the main employers in Gabrovo Region with 411 employees, 106 of which are aged over 54 years. The company has secured over the years, long-term employment through sustainable, well-paying jobs and has invested in training provision. The economic growth of the company in 2015 and early 2016 shows a steady pace of increasing, that is also applicable to the people employed. In this regard, the company has provided care for its personnel through continuous measures to improve the working conditions, safety at work, corporate social responsibility and ensure optimum working climate. The company analyzes annually the existing safety conditions which is directly linked to its business investments and production changes and aims to build on the existing safety working conditions. This project proposal is an integral part of the company's overall plan to invest in human capital and ensure good working environment, by investing in the replacement of existing elements of the vacuum air cleaning system in production area "Taps" in order to reduce the secondary pollution sources, purchase and installation of 4 pcs. air conditioners for heating and cooling in 4 workplaces, purchasing 4 pcs. of specific machines for industrial floors cleaning and organizing and carrying out transport from Triavna to Gabrovo and vice versa for 33 workers three times a day, 5 days a week. The project intervention will have a positive cumulative effect on both - the target group of the employees in the company, including employees over 54 years old and on the company - will contribute to solve the identified problems of the target group and will meet the specific business needs of the company.
