Increase of safety and improving labor conditions in sewing factory "Olympia" Ltd. - village of Kostenets

The project aims to provide a safe, healthy and comfortable working environment, improving social servicing of workers and the labour mobility in sewing factory "Olympia" Ltd. - village of Kostenets and improving the system for managing human resources. The target group of the project are 39 workers, including 37 people employed to manufacture and administrative staff of 2 persons. The project includes complex measures aimed to improve the overall work and health status of the workers and the effectiveness of the manufacturing processes in the whole enterprise. Project activities include: 1 Implementing of a system for human resources development in 3 modules: Optimization of working hours and extending the professional working lives of workers over 54 years; Introduction of a system for reporting on labour productivity, including purchase of software for reporting production and calculation of normalized labour; implementation of practical model for training and qualification in the workplace. 2 providing organized transport to and from the workplace, for workers from other settlements. 3. Improving the working conditions by: purchase of personal protective equipment to enhance safety at work in apparel production, providing equipment for collective protection through ergonomics - the purchase of ergonomic chairs and mats for workers, replacement of lighting with LED lighting and individual lighting on every workplace, providing effective heating system, implementation of measures for fire protection and training on the prevention of workplace risks. 4. The project includes provision of social benefits for workers by equipping a dining room, adaptation and equipment of a room for recreation and physiological rehabilitation together with a room for sports and installation of sports facilities. As a result of the project the efficiency will be dramatically approved in human resources management, microclimate, social and health status of workers.
