Improvement of the work environment and quality of life and labour of the employees at Hraninvest-Hranmashcomplect AD and development of the environment policy

Established in 1968, Hraninvest-Hranmashcomplect AD is a leading company in the Bulgarian machine building industry. It performs complete engineering – design, manufacture and commissioning of equipment mainly for the Food and Beverage industry. Its production list includes more than 2000 types of machines, components and equipment. The manufacture is performed in both premises of the company – in Stara Zagora and in Momchilgrad. Hraninvest-HMC AD is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 for quality management, ISO 14001:2004 for environment management as well as to number of product certificates which are part of the built-in integrated management system. The statutory requirements for health and safety at work are integrated in that same system. Recognizing that work force is a key factor to improvement of the quality of the production and the efficiency of the labour, Hraninvest-HMC AD continuously implements actions to better the work environment which consist of modernization of the machines and the equipment, protection from nuisances and risks at work and trainings for refreshing and complementing the knowledge of safety and health at work. A further step in this direction is the present project which aims to improve the quality of the work places through modernization of the welding facilities, to increase the level of safety in relation with nuisances and risks of the work environment through purchase of special work wear and personal protective equipment of higher safety level, as well as to improve the lifestyle and quality of labour of all employees by trainings for maintaining and complementing the knowledge of specific health risks associated with the individual workstation. Implementation of these activities will affect positively the increase of the labour efficiency. The planned trainings shall refresh and complement the knowledge of the environment protection which will contribute to the development of the environment policy.
