Provisioning of proper safe work conditions at Balkantel Ltd.

Balkantel Ltd. is an Engineering Company, established in 1990 that specializes in telecommunications - radio transmission and broadcasting; management and control of air navigation and landing; construction, maintenance and development of communication, information and navigation systems; planning and design; delivery devices for railway signaling and security; installation of telecommunications equipment and precision measuring equipment. The Company has established itself as a leading supplier, system integrator and Contractor of comprehensive 'turnkey' projects. It has executed many infrastructural projects of strategic importance for the country in telecommunications and navigation. The present project provides for activities to improve the level of safety and health conditions for the exercise of work obligations of workers and employees at the Company. The project includes measures for the improvement of organisation of the occupational activities at Balkantel LTD, in the city of Sofia and creating conditions to improve productivity of labour, as follows: Introduction of new, more reliable personal and collective protective and safety devices; Providing transportation for the employees of the company, living outside the city of Sofia - 4 workers; Training for operations in restricted spaces – for 39 persons; Training to provide 'First aid' in occupational health hazards and accidents - for 105 persons of the company; Providing social benefits for workers - furniture and equipment for the canteens in the Company's building. The project shall provide options to combine the professional and private lives of the employees at Balkantel LTD, and also a longer employment for the elderly workers and employees in the workplace.
