Providing good and safe occupational conditions at Assarel-Medet JSC

The project proposal of Assarel-Medet JSC aims at improving the occupational conditions at the company through delivering lightning protection equipment for 5 industrial subsites, building an air conditioning facility in premises with electric systems for 2 subsites, differentiating a dust collecting system at the Research laboratory of the applicant and placing 6 mobile amenity modules for short relaxation of the employees. The project activities implementation will contribute to achieving a higher occupational safety level at the company by mitigating fire and explosion hazard (by purchasing lightning conductors and stands for them), improve microclimate conditions (by installing the air conditioning facilities), ensure normal industrial dust levels in the laboratory premises at the company (by building the dust collecting system) and will provide social benefits for its employees (by delivering the mobile amenity modules). Meanwhile, the measures planned to be implemented are focused on applying the environmental protection policy and climate change and resource efficiency policy since they will improve the environmental status of the industrial sites region. The activities which are to be performed under the project are “Team forming, project organization and management”, “Contractor selection for the project activities”, “Delivery of 6 mobile amenity modules for short relaxation of the employees”, “Building air conditioning facilities to ensure favorable microclimate”, “Building a dust collecting system in the Research Laboratory Premises”, “Project visualization and publicity”. The target groups under the project are the technological and operational personnel of Assarel-Medet JSC who will benefit directly from the occupational conditions improvement at the company. The total number of employees which the project will encompass is 1,052 persons, 181 among whom are older than 54 years as of the application date.
