Decent work in supply chain enterprises part of multinational companies

The purpose of the project is to improve the working conditions and enhance the quality of jobs in SMEs - part of production and value chains of multinational and other large companies by improving the systems and mechanisms that support the implementation of labour, security and environmental standards in SMEs. The project provides for the following activities: to define target divisions of multinationals and large enterprises that are essential for the Bulgarian economy; to define SMEs that are part of the production and value chains of the targeted divisions of multinationals and other large companies; to gather information on the economic situation and labor relations in target SMEs and definition of problems in the field of labor, social and environmental standards in them and their needs advice and assistance for transfer of best standards and practices of MNCs and large companies; gathering information on the economic situation and labor relations in target SMEs and definition of problems in the field of labor, social and environmental standards in them and their need for consultation and assistance for transferring best standards and practices of MNCs and large companies; development of information and educational materials designed to show employees and employers/managers of SMEs the international, European and national standards and practices in the field of labor relations, social and environmental protection, representation of employees with best standards and practices MNCs and large enterprises in Bulgaria; implementation and use of on-line platform for information and consultations of employees in SMEs; assess the impact of consultations and campaigns. The expected results are introducing, improving and implementing SME good standards and practices of MNCs and large companies.
