Development of National System for Competence Assessment – MYCOMPETENCE

The project proposal’s main goal is improving the effectiveness of national policies and measures on the labor market by providing relevant data and analysis of skills and competencies needs of the workforce. The main activities will include a selection of 5 new economic sectors and identification of key occupations in the selected sectors, creation of five new advisory councils at sectoral levels, development and implementation of e-tools and environment for analysis and audit of occupations and jobs, development and testing of sectoral competencies models of 20 key occupations within the 5 selected sectors of the economy, development, testing and validation of the new e-tool for competence assessment, development, testing and piloting of 7 e-training models, updating developed and approved sectoral competencies models in the previous 20 economic sectors developed in the period 2010-2014, development, piloting and validation of electronic module for analyzing and evaluating the training needs of the workforce. The benefits of the project can be found in several directions: At a company level, by developing sectoral competence model for the specific occupations improvement of the processes of assessment, development planning and workforce management will be achieved. At a policy level, the timely provision of data and analysis for the needs of skills and competences in economic sectors will be used to better predict the need for competencies in the sectors concerned and to take more effective employment, education and vocational training measures and policies. At an individual level, information on necessary skills and competencies needed for a certain occupation will be used for vocational guidance towards easing the choice of continuing training, retraining, development of new skills and career development.
