INCREASING THE COMPETENCES OF EMPLOYEES IN THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR IN RUSE BY VOCATIONAL AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING

Candidate: UMBAL"MEDIKA RUSE" OOD; Partners: 1. SBALK MEDIKA KOR EAD; 2. DKC 2 – RUSE EOOD. Project target group are 640 employees at the three healthcare facilities; Beneficiaries: 148 health workers from the target group, 52 of them-aged over 54. General objective of the project - increasing the skills of the employees in the healthcare sector in Ruse to meet current and future needs in healthcare-to improve the quality of the medical services provided, to increase the sustainability of their employment, the quality of their jobs and the duration of their professional life. Specific objectives: 1. Improving the competences of 121 beneficiaries by providing vocational training for the professions “paramedic”, “healthcare assistant” and “caretaker”; 2. Improving the competences in foreign language of 47 beneficiaries by key competences English language training. Activities, contributing to the project objectives: 1. Vocational training of totally 121 beneficiaries for the professions “paramedic” /46/, “healthcare assistant” /32/, and “caretaker” /43/; English language training (KC 2) for 47 beneficiaries; 20 of totally 148 beneficiaries will be provided with vocational, as well as key competences trainings. Expected results: 89% of the project beneficiaries to complete the trainings, which will improve their opportunities for employment and career development, will positively influence the sustainability of their employment and the duration of their professional life. In social aspect, the acquired new competences will contribute for the higher quality of the medical services, will respond to the needs of the employers for demanded professions and specialties in the sector, for updating the professional and foreign language skills of the employed, will be relevant to the challenges of the Bulgarian healthcare reform and the cohesion within the EU. Result indicator: /89,1%/ beneficiaries, acquired new vocational and/or language qualifications within the project.
