Increasing the potential of the employed Popchev stone design EOOD by increasing the qualification of the workers in the field of stonework

"Popchev Stone Design" Ltd. is a company, which has production facilities in : Varna, Durankulak, Slanchevo and Vratsa. Over the years, the company has established itself as significant importer of stone facing materials in various colors - marble, granite, limestone, onyx, mosaics and various stones from Italy, Greece and China. At the same time, it offers to its clients the whole variety of materials that are produced in our country - Bulgarian marble, Vratsa limestone, gneiss. The present project will improve the quality, flexibility and productivity of employees at Popchev Stone Design Ltd. and is aimed at increasing the qualification and improvement of the skills of 25 of the employees in the company. As a result of updating the knowledge and validation of the acquired competencies of the employees, the aim is to achieve flexibility and sustainable improvement of the quality of the working processes. The current project provides access to high quality training for people with high risk of social excluding, which in turn will lead to better opportunities for career development, employment and prevention the risk of exclusion of vulnerable groups on the labor market (people with secondary and lower education and persons over the age of 54), increased productivity and safety at work, and hence the quality of life. The project foresees the following activities: 1. Providing vocational training for acquiring or improving professional qualification of employees in the profession: 215060 "Stonemason" - second degree of professional qualification for 25 persons, divided into two groups; 2. For Key Competence 4 "Digital Competence" for 24 people. The project provides opportunities for employees to participate in trainings. Quality of the training will invariably contribute to meeting the needs of the company to build a knowledge-based economy and to develop the potential of the employees, which is part of the human-resource policy of Popchev Stone Design Ltd.
