Improving the skills and competencies of persons employed at Liebherr

The project includes the following main activities (per target groups): - Training in English Language (Target group – 80 employees, LHM); in German Language (Target group – 80 employees, LHM); in Digital competence (Target group – 232 employees, LHM); - Professional qualification for positions of a mechanic and machine operator in Liebherr (Target group – 6 employees of LHM). The key competence trainings are oriented mainly to chiefs of production departments as well as to officials in the administrative departments of the company (392 persons in total). In addition - 6 workers in the company shall pass a vocational training (VT) course for acquiring professional qualification, that will allow them to take positions of mechanics and machine operators. The main needs and problems, in the context of the project, are related to acquiring skills and qualification in language competencies and digital competencies. These skills should allow for employees to take effectively part in global (multinational) teams within the Liebherr group. And the workers that will pass through the VT course shall be able to respond to the needs and requirements of the company related to its internal production processes as well as to the development of modern technologies in the area. As a result of all trainings planned – 398 employees of Liebherr shall improve their skills and qualification. That will lead to creation of better opportunities for professional career within the company as well as for further realization of the relevant persons on the labour market. Thus conditions shall be created both for professional and career development of the Liebherr trained employees and for their longer employment within the company (specific objectives). The project activities should also contribute for an increase in the number of persons employed in priority sectors of the economy, which have improved their knowledge and skills with the support of OP HRD (general objective).
