Sustainable development of the workforce in the sector of tourism

The tourism sector is one of the most dynamically developing sectors with priority for the Bulgarian economy. In recent years, there has been a trend which shows that the development of specialized tourist infrastructure outstrips significantly the development and training of staff working in tourism. This raises the need to work in the field of human resources. The biggest challenge for employers in this field is the adequate parallel development of the human resources that underlie the development and supply of the tourist product. The main objective of the project is to increase the ability of the employees of SUNNY LAND 2012 Ltd. to meet the rapid changes in the labor market, as a result of which they increase their professional skills and competencies according to the current needs of the business, to increase the productivity of their work and to create conditions for sustainable employment and employment of better quality jobs. The target group includes 47 persons hired on a labor contract at SUNNY LAND 2012 Ltd., at least 50% of whom do not have a higher education than average and / or are over 54 years of age. The activities included in the present project proposal envisage training for the acquisition of professional qualification in the profession "Organizer of tourist agent activity", specialty "Organization of tourism and leisure time", profession "Hotelier", specialty "Hospitality organization" and Professor "Chambermaid" specialty "Hospitality", as well as Key Competence 7 "Initiatives and Entrepreneurship". The objectives, tasks and activities envisaged for the project are aimed at encouraging investment in the human capital of the company, acquiring new knowledge and skills, validating the practice of lifelong learning in order to achieve higher quality of the workforce and professional realization.
