The Skills of the Human Resources - Capital for Development of Mines Maritza East EAD

The project proposal plans to be provided training for a part of the workforce employed in the production activities of Mini Maritsa Iztok EAD. A total of 310 people will undergo training to acquire a new professional qualification or to upgrade the existing one as follows: 160 people will be trained to acquire qualification for welders and 150 others to upgrade their qualifications as drivers to allow them to carry specific goods for the production process in the Company. Both of the training will be provided by a training organization(s) licensed by NAVET, selected through a PPA procedure. The trainees will be able to participate in a partial rotation at the workplace - the production process in the Company is continuous and is carried out in a shift mode. This technological specificity requires and imposes the coverage of the obligations of a job position / place at the time of occurrence of this necessity - ie. if the holder of the position cuts off unplanned, the trained will be able to take on his duties. The shift mode has a strictly regulated break between the shifts, which limits the job rotation of the occupants, since after the break everyone has to return to work in their position. This in turn requires a flexible approach and security with relevant trained staff. The specificity of the Company's production activity requires special professional skills from the employees, which limits to the maximum extent the employment of unemployed or inactive persons. Therefore, such practice is almost not implemented by the Company, nor is it planned within the project. The duration of the project is 18 months. For its implementation a team of employees of the Company will be formed, including those whose direct duties are related to the coordination of the training in the Company according to it Annual Qualification Program.
