Sunny Home - M - Improving the skills of the staff and the unemployed/ inactive people to provide quality care for the elderly

The applicant is Slanchev Dom - M EOOD, whose main activity is related to the provision of residential care for the elderly in the newly built complex of two buildings, specially designed for Elderly Home with Hospice. The first building opens its doors in 2014 and very quickly becomes one of the most renowned places for elderly people on the territory of Sofia. The project includes 3 main activities: 1) Providing training to acquire or increase the professional qualification (but not higher than third degree) of the staff of Sunny Home - M and of inactive/unemployed persons in the Caregiver profession (2nd qualification degree) and in the Health assistant profession (3rd qualification degree); 2) Providing training to acquire key competences of the staff of Sunny Home - M and of inactive/unemployed persons of key competence 2 "Communication in foreign languages" and key competence 4 "Digital competence" and 3) Inclusion of unemployed and/or inactive persons in non-subsidized employment by the employer, after successful completion of the training for a period of 3 months, within the framework of the project. Project target groups are employed and unemployed/inactive people. In total 19 employed and 10 unemployed/ inactive persons will be trained. 5 of unemployed/inactive persons will be included in non-subsidized employment for 3 months. The trainings are selected on the basis of the employer's needs and strategic plans for expansion of services and markets, as well as the identified problems and needs of the trainees and the requirements of their job. Training is planned so that one person is involved in one training for acquiring professional qualification and one training on key competency. The trainings will be subcontracted and will be organized as attendance trainings, and each will include the curriculum required for the relevant training and degree. The project has a duration of 18 months and a total value of BGN 59997,68, of which grant of BGN 42477,68.
