New Skills for Long-term Employment

Nowadays building, tobacco growing and trade sectors face a number of challenges related to dependence on forms of precarious employment and fictitious self-employment that limit their productivity and competitiveness. In this sense, the companies IB BUILDING EOOD, Nikotab AD and Stan 06 Ltd. decided to join together and participate in the project proposal. Through the achievement of the set goals, the persons employed in the three companies will have the opportunity to acquire the necessary qualification, which best meets the new requirements to the sectors in which they work. They are expressed in the need for an integrated quality approach centered on consumer satisfaction and based on the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainable development. An extremely important element of building a sustainable and competitive economy is to ensure long-term and quality employment. In addition, they face the challenge of an aging workforce. In order to limit these global challenges and to meet the needs of the three companies, the implementation of this project is planned. It aims at reducing poverty and social exclusion of vulnerable groups by ensuring sustainable employment. On the other hand, upgrading the knowledge, skills and competences of the workforce by encouraging flexible learning processes, including through vocational training, will increase the number of employees over 54 and those with secondary and lower education who will acquire professional qualifications. In addition to its impact on human resource development, the project will contribute to improving the productivity, competitiveness and adaptability of firms to the economic conditions in the country. These results, on the other hand, lead to the consolidation of market positions and the expansion of their market share.
