Digital Skills Development - Component 1

The project proposal is aimed at achieving the main goal of the operation "Development of Digital Skills" to determine the specific levels of digital skills needed by employees to perform work tasks, and to support their acquisition in accordance with the development of digital technologies by sectors of economy. The objectives of Component 1 of the operation is to develop a methodology for determination the state and needs for development of digital skills/competencies; to elaborate requirements for the preparation of unified profiles of digital skills by key occupations/job positions, according to the NSCO, 2011, and the European Framework for Digital Competences DigComp2.1, and to elaborate requirements for the development of tools for assessment of digital skills as well as to coordinate and ensure coherence of the actions in the whole process of determining the specific levels of digital skills needed by the employees in relation to the developing digital technologies by sectors. The implementation of Component 1 will ensure applying of unified approach and quality of implementation of Component 2 of the operation aimed at carrying out research and analysis of digital skills needs by sectors, elaboration and validation of unified profiles for digital skills by key occupations/job positions, elaboration of sectoral frameworks for digital skills development and unified tools for digital skills assessment. The implementation will contribute to the better matching between the digital skills of the labour force and the needs of the labour market. The digital skills profiles by key occupations/job positions and digital skills assessment tools will be important tools in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating human resources development policies at company, sectoral and national levels. The information will be used by individuals in choosing continuing training and skills development with a view to sustainable employment.
