Partnership for independent life

We envisage with the implementation of the project "Partnership for independent life" to support and expand the "Home services unit" created under the scheme "Help at Home". Through the project implementation the quality of life and access to services for disable people and elderly people over 65 years of age unable of services will be improved. The main goal is to overcome poverty and social exclusion among these people. To provide all services it is intended to employ people for home services unit at the positions as follows: junior specialist "social activities", psychologist, nurse, family assistant (FA), social worker (SW) and personal assistant (PA) in the "Help at home unit service". Beneficiaries of social services will undergo individual evaluation for the each one individual need(s). During the realization of the project the psychologist will provide consumers with psychological and motivational support and will supervise the staff delivering social services on hourly basis. The nurse will be employed on half time contract (4 hours per day) and will be in charge to monitor the consumer`s condition. The nurse will deliver services at home consisting of: blood pressure measuring, heart beats, their blood sugar, advise them on dietary and health problems of his/her competence. We intend to provide services in two stages. First stage is going to begin at the fifth month of starting the project. Then 9 persons will be appointed as „family assistant “and 4 as “social worker”. Second stage is going to begin on 1st March 2016 when we expect to appoint 15 more employees – 10 as “family assistant” and 5 as “personal assistant”. Services will be provided for 25 months up to 31st December 2017. The project is expected to cover over 50 people with disabilities and elderly people and at least 35 of them are going to receive complex services.
