Providing Conditions for Independent Living in Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality

One of the main priorities of Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality set in Municipal Development Plan of Gorna Oryahovitsa Municipality for 2014-2020 is Priority 3 Improving the quality of life, Specific objective 3.2: Social inclusion and improving the health status of population. The project will contribute to the implementation of this Priority and its specific objective. The project aims: to satisfy the long-lasting and comprehensive daily care needs of disabled people and adults above 65 years in inability to take care alone for themselves, to support social inclusion and improve the quality of life of these people. On the other hand, the project aims to give people who cared for their disabled relatives the opportunity to return to the labor market. The project will reach its goals by providing access to minimum 90 individuals from the target groups to hourly integrated services, including psychological support, counseling, social services (home assistant and personal assistant) and health care according to their individual needs. The project will provide employment and income of minimum 58 individuals who will provide services to the target groups. Persons who will provide social services under the project and are not trained to provide the services: "home assistant" and "personal assistant" will undergo an induction training. This will ensure a quality care for the persons in need. With the aim of raising public and project participants awareness, information and publicity measures will be conducted under the project. They will give information about the project essential and the project donor.The implementation of the project will meet the identified needs of the target groups and reduce the risk of institutional care. The project amount is 499968,30 BGN and the duration is 20 months. The services provided under this project will be available for 18 months.
