INTEGRATED SERVICES AND COMPLEX CARE IN DOMESTIC ENVIRONMENT

By the realization of this project, Kaloyanovo Municipality is going to improve the quality of life and the social services access for including people with disabilities and elders of age over 65 years, who has no self-service ability. Project activities will upgrade the functioning Home Care Unit to the Home Respite, financed by the OP “Human Resources Development”, scheme “Domestic Assistant”. The project predicts that the services will be represented in 18-month period and they will include 50 people with disabilities and their families, 10 people of age over 65 years with disabilities and/or unable of self-service. 30 Personal assistants, 10 Social assistants and 5 Domestic assistants will be selected, who will provide daily care of the targeted group users at their homes. It is predicted that social workers, medical nurse and psychologist will be drawn on, who will provide psychological, social and medical assistance. Social-psychological and health help together with the service for personal/social assistant and domestic assistant will create complex and integrated services for the people with self-service inability and for the people with disabilities and will provide long-term care of complex activities. The integrated services complex will be provided after the performance of individual evaluation over the individual needs and the horizontal principals for equal abilities and unacceptance of discrimination, gender equality will be complied. The improvement of the service quality will be achieved as well as with the personnel training and support (supervision and consultation) activities accomplishment. Leading principle of the activities execution will be placing the individual needs in the center and providing integrated access to health, social and other services, in accordance with the specific disadvantaged human needs, having in mind his particular evaluation.
