To Independence and Social Integration of Adults and Disabled People on the Territory of the Municipality of Belitsa.

High level of aging population and extremely high unemployment are typical for Municipality of Belitsa.A big number of adults are people who live alone,with low income and many accompanying diseases.People with disabilities, including children also are in strong expressed social exclusion due to low income and lack of conditions for obtaining adequate cares.The present project is aimed at expending the scope of integrated services in the community for overcoming the social exclusion of disadvantaged people.Through the support of the activities of the Unit(Center) for hourly services will be achieved: The main project objective: Strengthening the decentralized model for providing social and other services for improvement the quality of life and overcoming social exclusion for adults over 65 years in inability for self-care and people with disabilities;and the specific objectives: 1)Providing an independent and dignified life for adults over 65 in the inability for self-care and people with disabilities by providing social and other services planned on the basis of the individual needs of each person; 2)Providing adequate care for adults over 65 in the inability for self and people with disabilities by providing comprehensive services for long-term care; 3)3) Creating conditions for overcoming poverty in the municipality by continuing and expansion of the activities of the municipal enterprise "Unit for services in the home environment." The main activities under he project are:Organization and management;Information campaign and selection of people from target groups and people for providing services;Supply of equipment;Psychological support for customers and staff;Providing social, psychological and health services by the Unit for hourly services.The target groups under the project are: 80 persons with disabilities and 50 adults over 65 in the inability for self-care.
