"New opportunities for independent life for disabled people and lonely elderly people in Gotse Delchev municipality"

The overall project objective is to improve the quality of life and provide access to integrated services for the social inclusion in the community or in the domestic environment of disabled or single living elderly persons in the Gotse Delchev Municipality. The specific objectives are: - To develop, at local level, the provision of integrated cross-sector services (social and health related, support etc.) for disabled or single living elderly people, by creating a Hourly Service Provision Center for the social inclusion in community or in the domestic environment. - To support the return to the labor market of unemployed people, taking care for disabled relatives. The project includes 67 persons from the following target groups: - Disabled persons and their families; - People, age over 65, with limited or no possibility to take care of themselves. The project objectives will be achieved over the following main activities: - Organization and management of the project; - Information and publicity; - Provide access to integrated services, according to the specific needs of disadvantaged people, based on individual assessments, by creating a Hourly Service Provision Center for the social inclusion in community or in the domestic environment; - Training the staff to provide the services; - Provide psychological support and/ or counseling and/ or supervision to the social services staff; - Motivational, psychological and other support to the customers of the service, based on their individual needs. Within 18 months the staff of the newly established Center will provide hourly health and social support services to its customers, based on their individual needs. Unemployed persons in working age will be hired to provide services to the customers in the areas of personal care, utilities and others.
