"Independent living for the disadvantaged in municipality Dulgopol"

This current project proposal is upgrade and expansion of the social services provided in the municipality. The users of social services are mainly disadvantaged people and elderly people uncapabe of self-service with poor income that are not able to defray part of the expenses of some new social services. The aim of this project is overcoming the social isolation of disadvantaged people by providing various social services for social engagement in the community or at home. The users will be receiving personal assistance services in their daily life, help with daily life nousenold activities, social engagement services. Due to the large amount of disatvantaged people, larger part of the users will be provided with personal assistant service. Social assistant and home helper services will be provided as well. Together with the listed social services, the users will be receiving psychological support, medical service, medical treatments, consultation in taking prescribed medicine and consultantion linked to the need of rehabilitation according to the demands of each user. The aim is to overcome isolation of disadvantaged people. To acnieve this, specialized vehicle with ramp for people with disabilities will be purchased, enabling them to participate in the social life. Given the specificity of work of social workers, for them is provided supervision in order to overcome any difficulties and challenges. Occupational health for the workers is provided as well. There is a wide information campaign on the objectives of the project, the results and role of the European Social Fund.
