Independent living for disadvantaged persons in Rila Municipality by providing long-term care services at the Center for hourly services.

"Long-term cares comprise a wide range of medical and social services for people needing help with basic daily activities due to chronic physical or mental disabilities ....... Long-term care is on the border between medical and social care and generally provide people with physical or mental illness, the elderly and certain groups of people who need assistance in performing daily activities "(source: National Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria for long-term care. "In 2010 by a project funded under scheme "Help at home" of OP "Development of Human Resources". Municipality of Rila established municipality enterprises "Support to people from vulnerable groups", which by the Centre for hourly services provides social services in community. The present project is aimed at improving the quality of life of disadvantaged persons in and providing access to integrated social and health services based on the individual needs of the individual. As a result of the project the scope of the Centre for hourly services will expand by providing new and existing services through integrated access to health, social and other types of services. Main target groups are: 40 disabled persons and 30 adults over 65 years, incapable for self-care. Main activities under the project are the following: Organization and Management; Selection of users of services and selection of staff for the centre; Training of the staff; Development of the activity of the Centre for hourly services through providing social and medical services, including psychological consultation and motivational support; Psychological consultation and supervision of the staff; Publicity and information. Project duration is 22 months and the services will be provided for 18 months.
