Support for independent living for people with disabilities

The implementation of the project proposal will provide integrated services for people with inability for self-service and for people with disabilities, will combine complex steps towards providing long-term care, including social and health services in the community or at home. It will support and expand the Unit for services in home environment, created within the operation "Help at Home", financed by the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development" 2007-2013. The Unit will assist persons with disabilities and elderly people over 65 years old, who are in partial or complete inability for self-service, in social contacts, household and self-service. The Unit will provide services for the physical and mental health care of the users. It will create continuity of service of persons using services, provided by Operations "Alternatives", "Help at Home", "New Alternatives" funded by the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development" 2007-2013 and the Operational Programme "Human Resources Development" 2014-2020 and the national budget. This will ensure the sustainability of the jobs created in previous operations, in the social economy and provide opportunity for people who take care for loved ones with disabilities to stay on the labour market. This new model of multifunctional approach to provide integrated services will become the basis for future planned development of the municipal social services.
